Bill's summer skills - 10,000 Puck Challenge

Hockey players are made in the off-season — and this summer, we’re giving you the tools to take your game to the next level.

We’re excited to introduce Bill’s Summer Skills – 10,000 Puck Challenge, co-sponsored by the Bismarck Bobcats and Horizon Market. Bill Curl was instrumental in developing and overseeing the 10,000 Puck Challenge for many years for BHB so we are honoring him this year by introducing Bill's Summer Skills. What started as a simple challenge to shoot 10,000 pucks over the summer has grown into an off-season development program for players of all ages and skill levels and we are excited to see the players show off their many talents. 

This isn’t just about taking shots — it’s about building complete hockey players through skill development, hard work, and fun weekly challenges.

From May 1st to August 31st, 2025, participants will not only take on the classic 10,000 Puck Challenge but also receive weekly skills assignments to elevate their game in every area. These include stickhandling drills to improve puck control and confidence, off-ice shooting practice to build accuracy and quick release, speed and agility workouts to develop explosive movement and balance, and hockey IQ challenges to sharpen game awareness and decision-making.

Players will need to reach the 10,000-shot milestone to be recognized at the end of the challenge. Along the way, as players hit key shot milestones, they'll earn entries into exciting prize drawings. It's all about motivating our athletes to push themselves, stay dedicated, and work toward a clear, rewarding goal.

Remember, tracking of shots should be done outside of practices, camps, and games. Let's make this summer a game-changer for your child's hockey skills!

• Register by completing the Bill's Summer Skills - 10,000 Puck Challenge - 2025 Registration Google Form (Click Here).
• Keep Track of your shots via HockeyShare.com via the link provided upon completion of registering via the Google Form (Team Name: BHB Hockey 10,000 Puck Challenge).
• Achieve the Goal by August 31st, 2025
• Participants who complete the 10,000 Puck Challenge will be invited to an exclusive Award Ceremony co-sponsored by Horizon Market and the Bismarck Bobcats. At this special event, each player will be honored with an official 10,000 Puck Challenge Ring, a t-shirt and two tickets to a game in October.

• Weekly Skills Assignments and Chances to be entered into exclusive prize drawings.
• Motivational & engaging Facebook posts every other week with tips and suggestions for the upcoming weeks.
