For those individuals looking to help parent coach or coach, or those who are looking to renew their level coaching, you will find all information regarding how to become a coach or how to renew here.

You will find a Coaches' Handbook below.  Please review this in its entirety prior to registering as a coach.

You will also find a registration link below.  Whether you are new or a returning coach, all coaches will need to register through the 2024-2025 Regular Season Registration.

​​​​The requirements to coach at the Termite level are the same as the Mite level.

All coaches must:

• Register as a member of USA Hockey. (Cost is $46 plus any affiliate fees if applicable).
• Complete the background screening. (Background Screenings are valid for two years).
• Complete the USA Hockey Safe Sport Training. (Required every year and cannot be added to a roster until completed). Coaches will need to create/log in to their profiles, click the link under the home tab to the coach eLearning site.
• Complete the Foundations of Player Development Pre-requisite. (Coaches will need to complete the Foundations of Player Development module before purchasing their age-specific module. Once a coach completes the Foundations of Player Development module there will be a 15-minute window before they can purchase and complete their age-specific module).
• Complete the online age-specific module(s) for the age level of play you are coaching. (Cost is $20 per module and only needs to be completed once per age level. Must be completed PRIOR to participating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until completed) 
• Coaching Education Program Certification Clinic Requirements (Must be completed by Dec. 31 each season) Find, register and attend the required certification clinic. The Cost is $60. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches start at Level 1. You can take clinics from April 1-Dec. 31 each season. 
• 2024-2025 BHB Regular Season Registration. All coaches must register through this form.

These requirements MUST be completed PRIOR TO DECEMBER 31 in order to receive any compensation, reimbursement, and/or DIBS credit. 

Just a reminder that one of the steps to become a USA Hockey Coach, is that you are required to find, register and attend a required certification clinic. If you are unable to attend the below in-person clinic or would prefer to attend a Virtual Clinic, you can click here to locate a clinic.

David Hoff will be offering an in-person Coaching Clinic for all Levels on Monday, October 28th, 2024. Coaches can either attend this clinic or any other clinic, hosted by an District/Affiliate across the country.

For those of you that would like to attend this in-person coaching certification course, please click here and sign up for the Nov. 3 in-person clinic in Bottineau, ND.  While you will be registering for one of the clinics in “Bottineau” you will attend the clinic here on October 28th.

If you were certified in the past, you are required to move to the next level, up to Level 4.

W-4, I-9, and Direct Deposit forms will be submitted with your registration. 

Reimbursement forms should be emailed to executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com.  Please refer to the Coaches' Handbook for details on when the reimbursement forms are due.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS.
