We are thrilled to announce the upcoming BHB 2024-2025 Regular Season! As we gear up for another fantastic year of hockey, we want to ensure you have all the information you need.

We’re excited to share important details as we prepare for an exciting Squirts/10U Travel Season! Please read on for team announcements, schedules, and key dates to keep in mind.

• Practice schedules through December are already posted.

Team Manager Opportunities
If you're interested in serving as a Team Manager or Locker Room Monitor, please contact Mikayla Jablonski Jahner, Executive Director, at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com as soon as possible to submit your request. Please note there will only be one Team Manager and two Locker Room Monitors per team. If she doesn’t have anyone confirmed by tomorrow (Tuesday) night, she will begin reaching out to teams directly to fill the roles of Team Manager and Locker Room Monitors.

Live Drawing for Squirt International Selection

• Date: Tuesday, November 26th
• Tune in for a live drawing on Facebook to determine which teams will attend Squirt International this season!

Squirt In-House Jamboree

• Dates: December 6th–9th (December 9th only if needed)

In-House Jersey Hand-In

• Date: Monday, December 9th (Time TBD)
  • Team Managers will collect all jerseys (washed) and turn them in together.
  • Managers can either wash the jerseys themselves after the jamboree or request families to wash them individually before collection.

Travel Team Jersey Hand-Out

• Date: Monday, December 9th (Time TBD)
  • Travel Team Managers will be responsible for picking up the jerseys and then distributing them to their teams and completing an inventory list to return to executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com.

Travel Team Picture Day

• Dates: Evening of December 10th or 12th

Team webpages have been released and this is where you will find your team’s schedule including practices, games, and dryland.

Practice Start Dates

• Bantam/15U & Peewee/12U Practices & Dryland start the week of Monday, October 21st.
• Squirt/10U Practices & Dryland start the week of Monday, October 28th.
• Practice schedules through November have been uploaded.
• Dryland practices are included with the practice schedule and are mandatory.
• Please check the calendar regularly for updates, as schedules can change quickly.

Squirt/10U Schedule Overview

• Games begin Saturday, November 2nd
• Teams will start the season with in-house play and conclude with a Jamboree (December 6th-8th).
• After the Jamboree, new teams will be announced, and players will transition to travel leagues.

Team Manager & Locker Room Monitors

If you're interested in serving as a Team Manager or Locker Room Monitor, please ensure you follow the necessary steps outlined at:

Additionally, please reach out to Mikayla Jablonski Jahner, Executive Director, at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com as soon as possible to submit your request. Please note that there shall only be one (1) Team Manager and two (2) Locker Room Monitors per team.  

Coaches

Coaches are being assigned by the Hockey Director and Assistant Hockey Director. We kindly ask that you refrain from reaching out to them during this time, as they are actively making calls and finalizing coaching assignments.

As you can imagine, this process requires time and multiple conversations. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated!

Upcoming Meetings & Training

BHB Team Managers Meeting:

• Wednesday, October 23rd | 5:30–6:30 PM at Capital Ice Complex - Meeting Room C
• Managers will receive scorebooks, team stickers, and important information for the season.

BHB Coaches Meeting + Concussion Training:

• Wednesday, October 23rd | 6:00–7:00 PM at Capital Ice Complex - Meeting Room A/B
• Peewee/12U & Older Coaches are strongly encouraged to stay for the BHB Concussion Training immediately following the meeting, from 7:00-8:00 PM. Dr. Jacob Retzer from Unbound Physical Therapy & Performance will lead the session, providing valuable insights and baseline protocols that will allows coaches to have a baseline to utilize in real-time if a player sustains a concussion.
• Coaches must complete all requirements listed on the BHB Coaches Page, including registration and employment documentation, by December 31st. This is necessary to participate in any on-ice activities and receive DIBS credit.

Coaching Education Program Certification Clinic

• BHB Coaching Clinic Monday, October 28th | 6:30–8:30 PM at Capital Ice Complex
• Coaches are required to find, register and attend a required certification clinic. If you are unable to attend the above clinic or would prefer to attend a Virtual Clinic, you can click here to locate a clinic. Coaches can either attend this clinic or any other clinic, hosted by a District/Affiliate across the country. If you'd like to attend this in-person coaching certification course, please click here to sign up for the Nov. 3 in-person clinic in Bottineau, ND. While you will be registering for the Bottineau clinic, you will attend the session here in Bismarck on October 28th.

Fall Kickoff Event & Picture Day

Join us on Sunday, October 27th for the Fall Kickoff Event & Picture Day as we come together to celebrate the sport we love and kick off an incredible season!

We invite all parents and players to arrive at their team’s scheduled time. This is an exciting opportunity to:

• Receive jerseys for the season
• Pick up Gun Raffle Tickets
• Get team and individual photos taken
• Collect some awesome swag, generously donated by Hollevoet & Welk Orthodontics and the Institute of Facial Surgery.

Picture Schedules

• Bantam, 15U, Peewee, and 12U Teams: Photos will be taken during the Fall Kickoff Event on October 27th.
• Squirt/10U Teams: Photos will be taken in December, once travel teams are formed.

2023-2024 BHB SQUIRTS/10U TRAVEL Team Announcements

Team Announcements: Squirt Teams and 10U Teams

A few things to note:

• Team website pages have been released and this is where you will find your team's game/practice schedule.  Practice schedules through the end of December are posted. And, as many of you are aware, calendars can change very quickly so please make sure you check back frequently for updates.
• Team Managers are still needed for Peewee B1 Red, Peewee B1 White and Peewee B Red. If you interested, please reach out to Mikayla Jablonski Jahner, Executive Director immediately at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com. 
• The Squirt In-House Jamboree is set to take place November 30th - December 4th (December 4th is only if needed). 
• BHB All Team Photo is Wednesday, November 29th (More Info to Come)
• Squirts/10U In-House Jersey Hand-In is Tuesday, December 5th from 5-6pm.
  • Team Managers will be responsible for collecting their team's jersey's and handing them in all at once. The Team Manager may decide to collect the jerseys at the completion of the in-house jamboree and wash the jerseys themselves, or each family can wash their own and then will need to be collected by the team manager to turn-in. Jersey's MUST be washed prior to turning in.
• Squirts/10U Travel Jersey Hand-Out is Tuesday, December 5th from 5-6pm.
  • Team Managers for the travel teams will be responsible for picking up the jerseys and getting them handed out to their team and completing the jersey inventory list which will then need to be returned to executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com.
• Squirts/10U Travel Team Picture Day is the evening of Sunday, December 10th. (More Info to Come)

2023-2024 BHB Team Announcements

A few things to note:

• You will find your player’s assigned group by their jersey number and the color they wore during the games for tryouts. 
• If you are interested in being a coach, team manager or locker room monitor for your team, please reach out to Mikayla Jablonski Jahner, Executive Director immediately at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com. 
• Team website pages will be released on Friday, October 20th and this is where you will find your team's schedule.  Practice schedules through the end of November will also be uploaded on this day.  Please remember that dryland schedules are included with the practice schedules and dryland is a mandatory practice.  And, as many of you are aware, calendars can change very quickly so please make sure you check back frequently for updates.
• Fall Kickoff Event is Sunday, October 22nd (More information can be found at www.bismarckhockey.com/fallkickoff.)
• Practices & Dryland start on Monday, October 23rd
• Squirt Games start Saturday, October 28th
• Squirt/10U will start the season in-house and then will have an end of in-house Jamboree taking place December 1st-3rd and then at time they will switch into their travel leagues. New teams will be announced at the end of November.
• Squirts Picture Day is Tuesday, October 24th
• Bantams/Peewees/Girls Picture Day is Thursday, October 26th.
• BHB Coaches Meeting will take place Wednesday, October 25th from 5:30-7:00pm at CIC. If you haven’t signed up for your required coaching clinic, this will take place on Sunday, October 29th from 4-6pm at CIC. Coaches must complete all requirements listed on the coaches page, including registering as a coach with BHB thru the 2023-2024 BHB Regular Season Registration and completing all employment documentation requirements, prior to helping with any on-ice activities or in any other capacity within BHB. 
• A BHB Team Managers Meeting is scheduled for October 25th, 2023 from 6:15-7:30pm at CIC. At this time, you will receive scorebooks, team stickers, and important information.
