Please help Bismarck Hockey Boosters in welcoming our new Hockey Director, Layne Sedevie.
A name familiar to the Bismarck hockey community, Layne comes to us from the Bismarck Bobcats, where he served as head coach for 14 years and led the team to great success over the years.
Layne's dedication to the Bismarck Bobcats over the last 14 years is unwavering and his passion to continue to see that program reach their greatest potential is inspiring. He has been a great asset to the Bobcats team and Bobcats family. Therefore, he will continue to work with the Bobcats over the next few months to help the team transition to a new head coach and ensure they are ready for another winning season as he takes on the new role of Hockey Director with BHB.
Prior to coaching our beloved Bobcats, Layne spent two years as a goaltender in the USHL and then played 4 years at Bemidji State. After finishing at Bemidji, Layne played another year in the Central Hockey League.
For the last year, Layne has served on the BHB Board of Directors as the BHB Hockey Committee Chairperson, where he showed how passionate he is about the work our organization does. Through this involvement, he gained invaluable insight into the program and took the time to learn more about the youth hockey programs in our area.
Although Layne has spent most of his career working with young adults, he is excited to have the opportunity to work with our younger skaters to help grow and develop our program from the first days those kids step on the ice to the time they head off to high school. He is looking forward to the opportunity to give back to the program that made him fall in love with the game of hockey.
Layne's experiences as a player, coach, and a goaltender will bring great value to our program. BHB is thrilled to welcome Layne to our team, and we look forward to watching him create a solid foundation for our kids and our program.
