Whether you're a player looking to make extra cash or interested in officiating yourself, it's time to get registered. Both the 2024-2025 BHB Referee Registration and USA Hockey Officiating Membership steps are required. To learn more about the registration process, please visit www.bismarckhockey.com/official.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR THE 2024-2025 SEASON

Please take note of the following updates for this season:

Registration Deadline: A reminder that officiating membership registration for the 2024-25 season must be started by October 31, 2024. No registrations will be accepted after this date, which is a significant change from previous seasons.

Certification Completion: All registration requirements for Certified Returning Officials must be completed by November 30th. New officials must complete all requirements before officiating any games.

Open Book Test: There will be no Open Book Test at any level for the 2024-25 season. However, it will return for the 2025-26 season.

Online Modules: For the 2024-25 season, there are no Online Modules (training videos) to complete. All necessary training will be covered during your seminar.

Seminar Attendance: Every official is required to attend a USA Hockey Officiating Seminar. Starting this season, all seminars are being conducted virtually of which you can sign-up at Officiating Classroom Seminars.

You are not required to attend a seminar instructed by your home district or state. You are required to attend the correct level seminar you registered for as an official. You cannot attend a Level 3 seminar if you registered as a Level 2 official. You must attend the virtual seminar for the entire session. If you do not attend the correct level or do not stay online for the entire seminar - YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE SEMINAR CREDIT!

Background Checks & SafeSport: Your official's profile now contains updated information regarding Background Checks and SafeSport training. If either is required, it will be indicated on your profile page, where you can also complete these items. Please make sure to complete all necessary steps as soon as possible to avoid any delays.
