2025-2026 Regular Season Registration
We are excited to announce that registration for the 2025-2026 regular season will officially open on Tuesday, July 1st! It's hard to believe it's that time already, but we are eagerly anticipating another successful season ahead.
All board members, coaches, locker room monitors, and team managers will also register alongside our players. Referee Registration will be separate this year and will open on Friday, August 1st, 2025.
Before registering, please review this important information, as there are some changes that have taken place, and we want to make sure everyone understands what they agree to when they register for the season.
Policies
The BHB Handbook has been updated, along with all policies. We ask that all members review this handbook, as there are important updates to policies and how each level is structured. Please make sure you are aware of your DIBS and fundraising requirements prior to the season starting. Also note the change in the Grievance Policy, in which a Zero Tolerance Policy has also been adopted. Upon registering, you are agreeing that you have read all information contained in the Handbook and you agree to all policies. You can find this and other policies www.bismarckhockey.com/policies.
By registering for the season, you agree that you have read, you understand, and you agree to all policies and requirements put into place by BHB, NDAHA, and USA Hockey.
Preparing for Registration
As you prepare for registration to open, please visit www.bismarckhockey.com/regularseason. Please use this resource to ensure you’re registering your player at the correct level and understand what to expect for the upcoming season.
This Page includes:
Registration
The registration link can be found on July 1st at www.bismarckhockey.com/regularseason.
You must register EACH YEAR through USA Hockey before registering with BHB by clicking here.
Please make sure you enter your child's information correctly, as it is difficult to change once it is time to roster kids.
Please register all siblings together under one registration. This makes it easier to track families across all levels.
Bismarck Capitals Socks & Practice Jerseys
Game jerseys are provided by the Club. Practices jerseys are provided to first year Squirts/10U players at no cost. All other upper-level players will need to utilize their practice jersey from last season or purchase a new one. Squirts/10U players and up are required to have a practice jersey and wear this during all practices.
The required Bismarck Capitals gear colors for all players at the Mite/8U level and above are navy gloves and navy hockey pants (breezers) and white helmets. Capitals socks are required for Squirts/10U & older.
Squirts/10U & Older will have the option to purchase a replacement practice jersey and/or socks during their registration. First year squirts will have the option to select a size for practice jersey at no cost.
Tryouts
Please mark your calendars accordingly. Detailed information regarding tryout layout, times and locations, will be shared at a later time. Specific questions can be directed to hockeydirector@bismarckhockey.com.
Registration Fees and Discounts
Registration fees are posted on the Regular Season Registration tab of the Bismarck Hockey Boosters website.
Please note - a late registration fee of $400.00 will be applied to any registrations for Squirt/10U Girls or up that are received after 11:59 pm on July 31, 2025.
BHB operates gaming sites throughout the Bismarck-Mandan community, and in an effort to give back to our members, we’ve implemented a discount structure based on the prior year’s net income from these operations. For Squirts/10U and Older, the discount will be applied per player, based on the Regular Registration Fee.
The posted regular registration fees do not reflect this discount — it will be automatically applied at checkout during registration.
If you are expecting to receive a discount outside of the gaming discount for the upcoming hockey season, please email executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com PRIOR to registering to receive your discount code. You will need to include your child's level of play and how many children you are registering at one time. Refunds will not be provided after the fact.
Coaches
Coaches MUST be certified and registered prior to helping with any on-ice programming, including any practices and/or games. The latest deadline to complete all certifications is December 31. In order to receive any compensation, reimbursement, and/or DIBS credit, all certifications and registrations must be completed prior to this date. NO EXCEPTIONS!
You can find the requirements and expectations for Bismarck Hockey coaches on our coaches page.
DIBS
All families regardless of level will be required to complete twelve (12) hours of volunteer time during the season. This is a per family requirement, regardless of the number of registered skaters.
During registration a family may choose a “Buyout” option for their required DIBS. If this option is chosen during registration the full DIBS fee of $500.00 will be charged and the family will be free of their DIBS obligation for the season. Any family choosing the “Buyout” option will not be eligible for any DIBS incentives given during the season.
Each family will be required to complete their required DIBS shifts prior to April 15, 2026 or the family will be assessed a $500.00 fee for non-completion. Once your DIBS are completed for the season, you will be marked COMPLETE on the DIBS Tracking Sheet. If you do not fulfill your DIBS requirements, you will be sent an invoice for the $500.00, which is due on May 1 of that year. If you do not pay your invoice prior to May 1, you will be assessed a $50.00 late fee and your player will not be able to attend any BHB activities or events until all fees are paid in full.
BHB members who volunteer as a Team Manager, Board Member, or Locker Room Monitor, will receive twelve (12) hours of DIBS credit. A list of these volunteers must be submitted to the BHB Executive Director prior to December 31 in order to be eligible for the DIBS credit.
Any full-time rostered coach who has a USA Hockey registration number, Coaches CEP, and has completed SafeSport, a background check and the module requirements at their level will receive twelve (12) hours of DIBS credit, so long as the certified coach is present at 80% of all games and practices.
Moving Up
If your child is moving up a level due to continuing to play with his/her grade level in school, please complete the Tryout/Move Up Request Form prior to registration. If any members falsely provide information to BHB pertaining to their child's registration information, there will be disciplinary action taken.
Events Committee
BHB appreciates the value of our volunteers, and we would not be successful if it were not for the hard work and dedication of our great team of volunteers on our Events Committee.
BHB hopes you will consider serving on the Events Committee for the 2025-2026 season.
Volunteers are critical to the success of the BHB Program, and it would not be possible without the selfless efforts of our volunteers offering their time and talents to help our youth hockey program function.
Volunteers who commit and serve the entire 25-26 season will have their first 12 hours of volunteer time go towards their DIBS hours. Any two-hour shifts volunteered for after the initial 12 hours are completed will go towards a registration buyback. The buyback will be in an amount of $40 per two-hour shift completed, not to exceed the total of the highest paid registration fee for the 2025-2026 season.
In a situation where BHB receives an overflow of applications, a review process will be held to narrow down the members of our committees. You will be notified of your volunteer assignment.
If you are interested in the Events Committee and/or would like to learn more, please go to www.bismarckhockey.com/eventscommittee for additional information and/or to submit a volunteer form.
For further questions, contact Mikayla Jablonski Jahner, Executive Director at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com.
