As the season gets underway and we move through tryouts and evaluations, we ask everyone interested in coaching during the 2025–2026 season to complete all required USA Hockey steps, including the 2025–2026 Regular Season Registration (Click Here). This process serves as your application to coach.

Please note: Completing the registration process does not guarantee a coaching position. Once registrations are submitted, our Hockey Director will evaluate all applicants and determine the best fits for each level and team.

Coaching Requirements

All certifications must be completed and up to date before stepping on the ice or bench for any game or practice. Please note that some of your certificates may currently show as complete but have an expiration date that occurs before the end of our season.

If you are unsure of your certification status, you can check your records at the USA Hockey Learning Center here: https://www.usahockey.com/learningcenter.

The requirements to coach at the Termite level are the same as the Mite level.

All coaches must:

• Register with USA Hockey

• Complete a background screening (valid for two years)

• Complete Safe Sport Training (annually)

• Complete the Foundations of Player Development and all age-specific modules

• Attend a Coaching Education Program Certification Clinic
  NOTE: In previous years, we have offered an in-person Coaching Clinic for all levels in late October, hosted by NDAHA Representative David Hoff. Unfortunately, David is unavailable this year, so there will not be an in-person clinic for the 2025–2026 season. Coaches will need to find and attend a virtual clinic or one hosted by a District or Affiliate anywhere in the country.
