Schedule Update

Hello BHB Members,

Now that the upper level tryouts are complete I wanted to update you all on what is coming up. Our program director, John Stockler, has been very busy and he is doing an amazing job.  It takes a lot of planning and hard work to organize tryouts for this many kids. If you have questions or concerns about anything, PLEASE reach out to your level coordinators.  It is very important that you do NOT reach out to John! He is very busy and time on the phone is time away from other things he would like to be doing.  Any communication with John must go through the level coordinator first.  This program will not succeed and it will hurt the development of the kids if John is unable to do what we hired him to do, which is work with our kids.  BHB is taking this very seriously and if not followed consequences will occur.

BHB is also trying to navigate through ice challenges as we are anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Capital Ice Complex.  We have also dealt with a refrigeration problem with VFW1 a few weeks back, which caused us to have to shuffle around our schedule a bit.   So far, we are on track for the other 2 sheets of ice to open when scheduled, but we need to have back up plans,  just in case something unexpected happens. Those back up plans also mean extra work for John when it comes to the schedule.   All of these challenges lead to making Johns job even more difficult then a NEW job already is.

John is currently working on getting the schedule uploaded to the calendar but we ask for your continued patience.  Remember that the season started earlier this year then previous years. In the past teams weren't even selected until the end of October, so we are actually ahead of schedule compared to previous years.

With all this being said we would greatly appreciate your patience and realize that John, the board of directors and many other volunteers and coaches, are working on a lot of new things this year and everything takes time. Your board is made up of ALL volunteers that put in countless hours to this organization. I personally would like to thank each and everyone of our volunteers, coaches and our new Program Director, as I see how hard they are working and how much weight is on their shoulders right now.  We can not do this without them and I would encourage each and every one of you to try and focus on all of the positive things that are happening right now.  This Organization is going through some growing pains but all of this is leading to a greater end result.

I will do my best to keep you all informed on the progress of the schedule but also continue to check Facebook, email or our website for updates. Thank you again for your patience and consideration during this busy time of year.

Best regards,

Kristi Anderson-Schmidt
