Save the Date: Annual Spring Meltdown Event - March 23rd!

It's that time of year again – time to celebrate the conclusion of another fantastic hockey season with our annual Spring Meltdown! We invite you to join us for a fun-filled evening of festivities as we bid farewell to the season in style.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, at The Pier Bar & Grill, beginning at 6pm and we're excited to extend an invitation to all parents and hockey-loving community members.

Here are some highlights of what you can expect at our Spring Meltdown:

Pre-Sale Tickets: We will be offering pre-sale tickets at a discounted rate, which will also include an entry into a raffle for a Free Registration for next season and a complimentary drink. Please note that this raffle will require attendees to be present to win. If you pay at the door, the price will increase.

Raffle Prizes: In addition to the registration giveaway, we will also be holding a raffle for two lucky winners to receive a "Get out of DIBS free" pass for next season. Unlike the registration raffle, participants in this raffle do not need to be present to win. Raffle tickets for both giveaways will be available for pre-sale, ensuring everyone has a chance to participate.

Gun Raffle:  The Gun Raffle Committee will hold the drawing earlier in the day at The Pier Bar & Grill on Saturday, March 23rd and will notify all winners.

Silent Auction: The silent auction will be a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for our association while offering attendees the chance to bid on some incredible items generously donated by local businesses and members of our community. 

But that's not all –The Spring Meltdown is a time to come together and celebrate the camaraderie and spirit of our hockey community. Whether you're a coach, parent, volunteer, or fan, this is your opportunity to unwind, socialize, and reflect on the memories made throughout the season.

We can't wait to see you there and raise a toast to another awesome year of hockey. Be sure to mark your calendars and spread the word to your hockey-loving friends. Let's make the Spring Meltdown the ultimate end-of-year bash!

DIBS INCENTIVE FOR THE UPCOMING NDAHA STATE TOURNAMENTS!

In order for us to ensure great tournament weekends for all our NDAHA State Tournament participants we are offering an incentive to individuals who help us to fill the remainder of the DIBS shifts open the next two weekends during the NDAHA State Tournaments.

Please take note that there have been revisions to the DIBS policy since last year. We encourage all members to familiarize themselves with the updated policy to ensure clarity and understanding.

Below is a snippet of the requirements and limitations regarding DIBS Incentives.

"Prior to receiving any DIBS incentives, the family must have completed ALL required DIBS shifts prior to the weekend in which DIBS incentives are offered. (This incentive also applies to those who have fulfilled their Dibs through another volunteer position: coaches, team managers, locker room monitors, board members, committee members, etc.)

DIBS incentives shall be given in the form of a discount towards the following regular season registration and will be at a rate of $20.00/shift worked (2-hour shift). This is not compensation for the time you volunteer during those weekends but is held at a discount for the following season. 

DIBS incentives shall be capped at no more than $100.00 earned (5 DIBS shifts) unless prior approval is granted by the Executive Director to receive additional incentives. 

When DIBS incentives are earned, a family receiving DIBS incentives MUST email our DIBS Coordinator within two (2) weeks of completing the DIBS incentive shift to actually claim the incentive. The DIBS Coordinator can be reached at dibs@bismarckhockey.com

Additionally, when a member registers their skater(s) for the following season and believes they should receive DIBS incentives as a discount on their regular season registration, the member MUST contact the Executive Director at executivedirector@bismarckhockey.com prior to October 15 in order to receive your discount code. The member must also get your discount code from the Executive Director PRIOR to registering for the season or the member will be responsible for the processing fees at a rate of $25.00 per transaction. 

All requirements must be followed and met, or the member will lose the DIBS incentives."

LAST CHANCE FOR DIBS: NDAHA State Tournaments

BHB is gearing up to host a series of NDAHA State Hockey Tournaments and we are in need of volunteers to take on DIBS shifts throughout the upcoming weekends, and we're calling on each and every one of you to be a part of making these weekends a success and making the tournaments a memorable experience for everyone involved. 

These upcoming weekends represent your last two opportunities to fulfill your DIBS hours, aside from a few remaining March/April Concession Slots.

Dates:

  • March 1st-3rd, 2024 - NDAHA Bantam AA, Peewee Gold & Silver State Tournaments
  • March 8th-10th, 2024 - NDAHA Bantam B1, Girls 15UA & Girls 12UA State Tournaments

If you haven't had the chance to sign up for DIBS shifts or haven't checked the DIBS Tracking Sheet recently, now is the time to do so.  The DIBS Tracking Sheet includes everything up to this point except for February Concessions, Locker Room Monitors and Coaches.

All families regardless of level will be required to complete twelve (12) hours of volunteer time during the season. This is a per family requirement, regardless of the number of registered skaters.
