    New Member FAQ

    For any new members or members that need to freshen up on your hockey knowledge and how the hockey season runs, please take a peek at the FAQ page!  We will try to update this continuously, as we receive questions from parents - if one person is asking, someone else is wondering the same thing.

    New Member FAQ Page

    All City Photo

    The All City Photo will take place on November 26 at 7:30 pm at VFW 1.  

    If your team has practice at the same time, it will be up to the coach on how they wish to handle this.


    Platinum Photography will be taking the teams' pictures over the next few weeks.  Your team managers will be receiving order forms and there will also be forms available the day of pictures for Mites and Termites.  Please have your players at these practice times, as makeup picture times will not take place.

    Termite teams have been posted here.

    Reminder that jersey handout will take place this Sunday from 1:00-2:30 at Capital Ice Complex.  If you are unable to pick up your jersey at that time, please email your off-ice coordinator at

    Also, a reminder that you will be unable to pick up your jersey if you have not handed in your DIBS check for the season.  This does not apply to 1st year Termites but everyone else should ensure they have handed in their check prior to or at jersey handout.

    Games for Termites will start next weekend, along with pictures.

    If your child is not listed here, please send me an email at and I will add him/her to a team.  Please include if they are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year skater.

    Junior Bobcats

    The Bismarck Bobcats are looking for a few squirt/U10 age players to make up the Junior Bobcats for the season and be introduced with Scratch during the introductions prior to each game.

    Sanford Impact Testing

    Bismarck Hockey Boosters is offering a free Sanford Impact Test to all participants ages 12 and up.  This test is to gather a baseline for concussion purposes.  

    In order to complete the testing, Sanford will need the test to be completed on a Chromebook.  If you do not have a Chromebook for this test, please let us know so we can get a count to Sanford on how many they need to provide.

    Athletes that were not able to test that first week and/or Athletes that didn’t pass their 1st baseline test compared to the norms:
    -          Monday, November 18 – 7:00pm
    -          Tuesday, November 19 – 7:00pm

    Gun Raffle Updates

    Gun Raffle Pick Up and Drop Off

    Gun Raffle Committee will be at CIC and VFW 1 every Tuesday night from 6-8:00 in November to either pick up or drop off your tickets. Make sure you pick up your books by November 30!

    Big Gun Raffle Winners Announced!

    A big thanks to our membership for selling so many Big Gun Raffle tickets this season!  And a thanks to all who bought tickets and participated in this fun raffle!

    An even bigger thanks to the Gun Raffle Committee for everything you do throughout the season!  We couldn't pull off this event without all your hard work.

    Bobcat Billet Families Wanted!

    SafeSport Certification must be renewed every 2 years and is mandatory for anyone who will have close contact with the youth.

    Capitals Gear Colors:

    Navy base with White or Red trim

    White Helmet

    It is not mandatory for participants to wear gear with these colors, but we strongly encourage that when you purchase new gear to follow this color scheme.

    Advertising at Capital Ice Complex

    Greetings! Bismarck Hockey Boosters and Bismarck Figure Skating Club’s 2017-2018 seasons are wrapping up and as we all know there is an exciting new addition to our community! Capital Ice Complex, which houses the new Wachter Arena and freshly renovated Schaumburg Arena celebrated its Grand Opening on November 29, 2017!
    Capital Ice Complex was able to be completed thanks to the generous support of many area businesses, organizations, and individuals.  BHB and BFSC are offering you a chance to become part of the action at the Capital Ice Complex by advertising on a dasher board or wall sign in one or both rinks. Take advantage of this offer soon as advertising opportunities are limited!

    Coaches Wanted!

    Coaches needed for the 2019-2020 season! Have you coached in the past and want to continue at a new level? Know a former player who would make a great mentor? Planning on coaching this season and unsure about the process? Bismarck Hockey is required to register coaches - even parent coaches - and maintain records. Please visit our coaching page for more information.

    Volunteer information

    Every member is required to volunteer throughout the hockey season.  The required number of hours and more information can be found on our Volunteers tab. 

    Also, if you are interested in helping out in a big way, please review the different committees and ways to pitch in that are listed on the Committees page, under the Volunteers tab.

    We Challenge You...

    Bismarck Hockey wants each and every skater to improve their skills.  Summer time is a great time to work on those skills, even off the ice.  We have two challenges for you - 10,000 Puck Challenge and Dirty Dangler Challenge!  Once you have completed a Challenge, let us know so we can recognize you.
